Basic principles for parking on the Linnanmaa and Kontinkangas campus
Parking is only allowed in the parking area for which the parker has claimed a parking right or registered as a user of the parking area.
Parking in parking areas is only allowed in marked parking spaces. Parking on the sides of parking areas is prohibited unless it is specifically permitted by parking signs. Parking on the sides of parking areas or in other than marked parking places makes it difficult to move around in parking areas, causes dangerous situations and hinders the maintenance of the areas. During the summer, additional parking signs "Pysäköinti sallittu vain merkityillä paikoilla" have been installed on the access roads to the parking areas.
Parking control on the University of Oulu campus parking areas follows three things:
- the registration number of the car used for parking is entered in the eParking system
- parking takes place in the correct permit area
- parking takes place in marked parking spaces
