At the University of Oulu, everyone is equal – Each of us can take a stand against racism

The University of Oulu aims to ensure that all members of our community feel welcomed and have equal opportunities for participation. Equality and inclusion applies to everyone regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, language, religion, belief, opinion, health, disability, sexual orientation or any other personal characteristic.

We are working consciously and actively to eliminate racism in its various forms. We strive to identify and deconstruct practices and structures that cause and perpetuate inequalities. Addressing inappropriate behavior and discrimination and raising awareness through for example training are at the core of our anti-racism efforts.
