The University of Oulu rose to best 300 in the Times Higher Education ranking

The University of Oulu has risen to 251-300 in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2022 comparing the best universities in the world. Last year, the ranking was 301-350. The University of Oulu also rose in the Shanghai ARWU ranking published earlier this year and in the QS World Universities ranking.

In the THE ranking, the evaluation scores of the University of Oulu increased in all other evaluated sections except education; in research, references, internationalization and research funding from companies.

This year, the THE ranking included more than 1,600 universities from nearly 100 countries. The University of Oulu reached the top quarter among them in three evaluation sections (research, references and research funding from companies). The best section of the university was research, where the ranking was 289.
