Project description

The project focuses on establishing a private 5G standalone network and develop wireless wearable technologies in selected areas of Oulu University Hospital. When the network is up, the goal is to evaluate the network and wearable usability to ensure streamlined workflows and ensuring smooth integration into the hospital environment. When operational, the network is expacted to act as a technological hub for research and turning innovation into reality in real hospital environment. In the longer term, the practical level research enabled by the Hola 5G network helps enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the Hola 5G network will also serve as a model for other hospitals globally.
