Project description
Various amorphous multi-oxide silicates can be used as a precursor for cementitious binders. However, their dissolution kinetics are often slow and further inhibited by ions adsorbed on their surfaces. Organic ligands as complexing agents could enhance their extent of dissolution. In this project, we investigate formation of metal-ligand complexes at alkaline conditions.
