Project description

Calcium carbonate and sodium sulphate are common industrial side streams in several industrial sectors. The aim of SecRes project is a zero-waste production and high volume utilization of these side streams to achieve the aims of circular economy. These side streams have been quite challenging from the cost-efficient utilization viewpoint, and some investment plans have been delayed or even withdrawn because of this. During the SecRes project, new solutions for these side streams in means of new processes and/or new products will be developed. The added-value arises from the combination of several industrial sectors, including eg. pulping, concrete, mining and chemical industry.
