Adeleye Adetunji is a PhD candidate at the Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering (WE3) research unit, University of Oulu, Finland. He obtained his M.Sc. Degree in Economics from the Oulu Business School (OBS) in 2018 with his work on the examination of the impact of economic growth on environmental quality. Due to his interests in smart grids and energy transition to a decentralized energy system he pursued a doctoral research in Energy economics. His doctoral thesis investigates the value of flexibility in the Finnish energy system by evaluating the socio-economic and environmental impacts of demand response. Adeleye is a graduate student member of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE) and an Associate member of the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN).
