Antti Isosalo received his Master of Science (Tech.) degree in Information Engineering (engineering mathematics) from the University of Oulu, Finland. He has also conducted supplementary studies in Mathematics and Physics and pedagogical studies for Subject Teachers (60 ECTS cr). Isosalo is currently with the Research Unit of Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology. He is pursuing towards a doctoral degree in Medical Technology in which he focuses on AI-based detection of breast cancer in mammography.
Isosalo has been working with pattern recognition and machine learning related research problems for several years, and has previously been teaching Machine Learning at the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis as a teaching assistant. His current research interests lie in in the area of Deep Learning and medical image analysis.
In addition to the aforementioned research activities, he has been previously involved in study advising and study administration related duties in the Biomedical Engineering Int’l Master’s programme (2017-2019).
