Geoinformatics
I have almost 20 years of experience in using Geographic Information System (GIS) in a wide range of applications, including animal ecology, environmental epidemiology, forestry, geography of health and well-being, landscape analysis and transport. In addition to research, I have extensively engaged in teaching, and I am in charge of the Geoinformatics study module. Drawing on my previous experience in software industry, I am particularly focused on using programming to implement GIS tools and to solve complex geospatial problems.
