PhD candidate from Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering (WE3) research unit, University of Oulu. I am working on my PhD project on smart energy transition to decarbonize urban energy systems and the role of smart buildings and their demand flexibility on electric heating applications in the transition. My background is M.Sc.(Tech) in Environmental Engineering from University of Oulu, with the area of specialization in Industrial energy and environmental engineering. I am currently researching smart energy systems, building energy systems, demand side management applications and their environmental impacts. Additionally, I study the climate change impact to the energy needs of buildings and participate in modeling work in my research interest topics. I also teach and supervise energy related bachelor and master's theses.
