I am Professor of Early Childhood Education and Emerita Professor of Pedagogy and Philosophy at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where I am still research active.
I have extensive experience of undertaking a wide range of funded research by national governments, charities, and industry. I also do invited consultancy work in philosophy with children and the community of philosophical enquiry research methodology.
My research is grounded in academic philosophy - an expertise I bring to my posthumanist and postqualitative work in child studies, philosophy with children, play, picturebooks and videography. I supervise (inter)national doctorate and postdoctorate researchers, also on-line.
For my up-to-date list of books and articles, see: www.karinmurris.com
I am Chief Editor of the Routledge Postqualitative, New Materialist and Critical Posthumanist Research Series.
