The best paper award given to a smart grid paper
Martti Ahtisaari Institute’s doctoral researcher Yueqiang Xu received the Best Student Paper Award in the third EAI International Conference on Smart Grid and Innovative Frontiers in Telecommunications held in Auckland, new Zealand, in late April 2018. The title of the paper is “The Blockchain Marketplace as the fifth type of electricity market”.

The co-authors of the paper were Petri Ahokangas, Seppo Yrjölä of Nokia, and Timo Koivumäki.
Yueqiang Xu is in the final phase of his doctoral research, in which ecosystem-based business models are addressed, involving smart grids and other emerging businesses.
