MAI represents the University of Oulu in Erasmus+ GOOCZ consortium project
The GOOCZ consortium includes Aalborg University (AAU), University of Oulu (UOULU), Universität Siegen (SIEG), Halmstad University (HH), and Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). These institutions collaborate to strengthen the academic sector's engagement with industry and develop sustainable educational practices.
The project’s objective is to enhance academics' capacity and skills to meet industry demands and societal shifts. It also aims to revise higher education curricula to address current and future challenges while preparing graduates for green and digital transitions. Another key objective is to develop sustainable transnational staff programs that reflect the evolving industry landscape and foster collaboration between academia and industry.
The project’s intellectual output will include a structured curriculum for company placements in Finland, Germany, and Lithuania, providing academic staff with real-world industry experience in sustainability-focused sectors. A training program will be implemented in Sweden, Germany, and Denmark to equip academic staff with advanced pedagogical skills and digital tools for updating curricula. Additionally, the project will produce a book featuring 10-15 teaching cases and 3-5 reflective papers to document and disseminate its outcomes through scholarly publications.
Through these efforts, the GOOCZ project seeks to strengthen the connection between academia and industry, ensuring that academic institutions remain responsive to societal and economic developments. MAI will contribute to this initiative by supporting the University of Oulu’s role in educational innovation.
